Everett has received written recommendations from both Washington Department of Health (DOH) and Snohomish Health District (SHD) regarding U.S. Department of Health and Human Services fluoride advisory. DOH and SHD are in concert in recommending to water systems adding fluoride adjusting their target dose to 0.8 mg/L. Since we operate our fluoride system in the range of 0.8 mg/L to 1.3 mg/L (DOH’s requirements), we will simply reduce our target dose from the stated range to 0.8 mg/L.
